Congress Extends Higher GSE Loan Limits Through 2010

Recent congressional resolution extending the current higher Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA loan limits through 2010 passes. The present loan limits would expire at the end of 2009 and revert to previous lower limits. Present conventional loan limits for Fannie and Freddie will extend through the 2010 calendar year at 125 percent of local median home sales prices, up to a maximum of $729,750 in high-cost areas. The floor for FHA is $271,050; the floor for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conforming loan limits is $417,000.

Fairfield County limit remains at $708,750.

New Haven County limit remains at $387,000.

New Area Codes and 10 Digit Dialing

Starting this Saturday you will need to reprogram your cell phones, fax machines and speed dials.

10 Digit Dialing is here in anticipation of the new area codes for Connecticut. The 203 area will get the new 475 code added, and the 860 area will get the new 959 code added.

Don't forget to update your alarm system for the new dialing protocol!
